We started as a company selling wallets built to outlast, but we’re growing into a company that makes “gear built to hand down”. People today own so much to their name, and we want Trayvax to be something that you’re proud to keep, proud to repair, and proud to hand down. We want Trayvax to last and take on meaning and become something that you trust and love and rely on.
A timeline of our company's history
Mark King started Trayvax Enterprises out of a small studio apartment as a trained machinist at the age of 22. With 87 dollars to his name he launched the first product through crowdfunding, a wallet, with the goal of reducing the use of plastic grocery bags (The bag tucked into the back of the wallet and made reusing your plastic grocery bag easy). But over time, Trayvax became a wallet company known for sturdy, reliable wallets that wouldn’t wear out.
Trayvax has been making wallets since day 1, but their commitment to high quality and customer trust has become a forefront in any new initiative. After selling over 2 million wallets in the United States within 5 years, Trayvax has become so much more than just a company, it has become a part of a collective mission to bring US manufacturing back into the hands of hardworking Americans.
Trayvax is known today for US manufacturing, high quality, and multifunction gear that stands out of the crowd. You won’t find their patented designs anywhere else.
Mark King, Founder of Trayvax
Born in Annapolis Maryland, Mark King started out as the son of a Navy Captain. When he was young, his family moved through Europe and across the United States to support his father's submarining career. He grew up on Bainbridge Island Wa, and became passionate about making and building ideas in the family garage. He received his first patent pending at age 18, Eagle Scout, and later received a CNC machining degree. During school, he designed and sold an organoleptic analysis machine to General Mills. The story was featured in the New York Times. This gave him the early stage funding to start Trayvax in his apartment. He is driven to business, innovation, and taking on big projects. He has founded Trayvax Enterprises, Kimbo Campers, Hannah Manufacturing, and recently graduated from Harvard Business School. His personal mission statement is: "to create American jobs, and leave behind a company that lasts 100 years".
